Based on observation, my work covers a wide range of subject matter painted in oils.

I seek to evoke the mysterious and magical aspects found in objects and scenes encountered in every day life. My painting can be stimulated by many things: the play of light on an interior wall, the nuanced atmosphere of a still misty day, or an object which happens to fascinates me. I am particularly interested in developing expressive representations of painterly form, texture and colour that can range from the subtle to the spectacular.
